Thank to everyone who came and supported us during our sharing of Whispers. It was great to have so much feedback and to experience the piece with an audience. Stay tuned for more happenings…this is only the start!
Week 1 of our Dance Limerick Residency is complete- 4 dancers and lots of ideas explored playing with audience proximity and interaction, challenging and invading personal space and finding new ways of collaborating and working together . Looking forward to now pulling them altogether next week for our sharing and meeting more of the Dance Limerick community. If anyone is interested in our Open Workshop or Sharing just follow the link below or contact me on email@example.com
A great way to start off my 2 week residency with an open integrated workshop. It was important for me to engage with the community and meet fellow dancers with an interest in integrated dance. Now its back to exploring and developing some of our ideas before another open workshop Tuesday 5th July 10-12pm at St Johns Church- if you interested in popping along just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Need plans for this weekend, then look no further! Come along and join us for BEAT Carnival Village in Ormeau Park this Saturday 25th June 12pm-6pm. Over the last few weeks we have been working with community dance groups across Belfast as part of a special parade as well as an extra ordinary Finale with BEATnDRUM, Belfast Guitar Orchestra, Carnival Choir, Ulster Youth Orchestra and some BEATnDRUM dancers!
Danze Senza Barriere! What a beautiful project to be involved with…This Spring Barriere Al Vento and their wonderful Artistic Director Chiara Dollorenzo invited myself and six other community dance artists from England, Germany, Austria & Mexico to be apart of Segni di Una Comunita/Signs of a Community. This inclusive community dance festival based in Galatina in Southern Italy engages adults with and without disabilities in a week long dance project ending with a outdoor performance for the community.
Alongside the guidance and support of Tamara McLorg (UK Choreographer) & Christopher Benstead( UK Composer) the team of artists delivered workshops to the community, masterclasses and presentations of our own work to each other and choreographed the performance for the public.
I want to thank Chiara and the organisation for inviting me to be a part of this project and for their amazing hospitality during the week. I would also like to thank the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for supporting me through their SIAP Travel Award.
Beautiful week of community dance #WeDance

I am delighted to be mentoring young up and coming dance artist Nikki McLaughlin as part of her ida award (Individual disabled/deaf artist scheme) through ADF (Arts & Disability Forum) and funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. Over the course of 10 weeks Nikki will be creating a her first solo dance theatre piece which we hope will be the start of an exciting time for the dancer.

Delighted to have been invited to a be a part of a very special international community dance festival in Galantina, Italy this June with the Associazione Barriere al vento lead by choreographer Chiara Dollorenzo. Thanks to the Arts Council NI Travel Award for helping me make it happen as well! Check out a short video of the festival last year!
I was delighted to be invited by dance artist Linda Fearon to be one of her mentors on her SIAP Arts Council of Northern Ireland award. Taking three full days to look at community dance, facilitation and workshop developments with young people and adults with and without disabilities. I have known Linda for a long time now from the start of our Luminous Soul days ( a dance development project with Open Arts) and it has been great to see how much she has developed as an artist.
Over the course of the three days we tried out ideas, discussed lots and created three workshop plans to take forward with groups. Linda also worked with another mentor David Calvert of Kids in Control looking at physical theatre and movement workshops.
Now she has a busy few months trying out her workshops and off performing! Best of luck Linda! To keep posted on what Linda is doing follow her on Twitter: @eliz41
