Community Dance

Dance enables you to find yourself and lose yourself at the very same time-Peter Townsend

Community Dance is an integral part of my work, something which I love and am passionate about. My belief is that dance should be fully inclusive and accessible to all and always delivered to the highest standard. Working through creative, contemporary & dance theatre techniques I facilitate a range of ages and abilities with a keen focus on integrated & intercultural projects. Through DU Dance NI I have been mentored within community dance practice with Mags Byrne and her colleagues Royston Maldoom OBE, Tamara McLorg and Janice Parker. This has informed and inspired the way in which I work.

Currently I work with a range of companies including Open Arts, DU Dance NI, Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre, Mid Ulster Council, Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council,Tanz Die Toleranz and Wheelworks.

I facilitate and choreograph from the age of 3 right up to 93! Examples of my community practice are: Sutemos Youth Dance Heroes on the Hill and Dungannon Inclusive Dance Group.

If you are interested in arranging workshops or projects contact me directly on or check my Coming up! page.
